Your fund is handled by a person, not a queue.
Cake SMSF is the self-managed super arm of Cake Accounting, and your fund is never the job that waits until the business returns are done.
- Chartered Accountants
- Registered tax agent
- Independent audit included
Who you deal with
Your fund is handled by James Howlin, a Chartered Accountant at Cake Accounting. You get the same person each year, which is the whole point: someone who already knows the fund, the members and the history when you call.
Cake Accounting is a Chartered Accountants practice and a registered tax agent, working from Southport and Brisbane. Those credentials sit behind every fund we take on.
We hold no Australian financial services licence, and we do not intend to apply for one. It keeps the work honest: we are paid to run your fund properly, not to place you in anything.
What we believe
Build meaningful relationships.
You should know your accountant's name and be able to reach them. One named contact, replies within two business days.
Do meaningful work.
A fund lodged on time with the audit cleared is worth more than a thicker report. We do the work that changes your position.
A bias towards action.
Overdue years, audit queries and stalled establishments get worse with time, so we deal with them early.
Part of Cake Accounting
Cake SMSF is a brand the firm wears for one kind of work. Cake Accounting looks after businesses, trusts and individuals under its own name; Cake SMSF is where self-managed super is handled, so that a fund is never squeezed in beside a company return.
