Changing SMSF accountants is simpler than staying put.
You make one call. We do the rest, including the awkward part of contacting your current accountant.
- Chartered Accountants
- Registered tax agent
- Independent audit included
Most trustees stay too long
Switching feels like a bigger job than it is, so the same problems run for another year.
- You think the handover will take months
- You are not sure what records you are entitled to
- You worry a change mid-year will cause a late lodgement
- You have already paid this year's fee
- You don't want the conversation with your current accountant
- You are not certain the fund is up to date to hand over
None of these need to hold you up. A transfer of records between accountants is routine, and we handle the request.

Questions trustees ask before switching
Will switching cause a late lodgement?
No. We agree the timetable on the first call and work back from the ATO due date. If your fund is already overdue, we tell you on that call what it takes to bring it up to date.
Do I have to contact my current accountant?
No. With your authority we send the ethical clearance letter and the request for your records. Most handovers are done inside a few weeks.
Can I switch part-way through the year?
Yes. Any time of year works. We pick up the fund from the last completed financial year and carry on from there.
What records do you need?
The last set of financial statements, the last annual return, the audit report, the trust deed and the member records. The Switch Checklist lists the lot.
What if my fund is behind?
Overdue funds are common and we take them on. A return more than two weeks overdue can change how your fund appears on Super Fund Lookup, so the sooner it is brought up to date the better.
What does it cost?
The fee is fixed and agreed before we start, and it includes the independent audit and the annual return. See full pricing.
